The Shoe Bank of Canada

The club started working with the Shoe Bank in 2013. We started by holding a fall shoe drive and was able to maintain a permanent shoe collection location inside the Perth Giant Tiger. By mid 2017, we passed 2,700 pairs of footwear collected and in July 2017, we now have a second shoe collection location inside the Giant Tiger in Smiths Falls.

The Shoe Bank of Canada’s mission is to ensure that no Canadian goes without proper footwear.

Host a Social with a Purpose to support people living with dementia.Alzheimer Society of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville

Another one of our long standing charities we proudly support. Since 2013, we have given away over 300 cups of coffee for donations in the annual coffee break campaigns.

The Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville is a non-profit organization and registered charity that offers support, education, and advocacy for families of people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia’s. The Society also focuses on raising money to support the programs and services it provides throughout the Tri-County area. The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County

In 2017, the Northern Landsharks were among the over 800 participants that participated in the Walk for Alzheimer’s in Ottawa that raised over $300,000 for the Dementia Society.

The Dementia Society works to make a difference for local families living with dementia. All fundraising stays in the local community to provide support, education and resources to people impacted by dementia..

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lanark County

The Northern Landsharks have been participating in the February Bowl-a-thon and in 2017, it raised over $87,000 of much needed funds for their growing programming.

At the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Lanark County, their mission is to provide every child in Lanark County who needs a mentor with a mentor.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 244 – Perth-Upon-Tay

The group proudly supported the Legion with a variety of Bar B Que events as requested by the Branch.
