The Northern Landsharks…

The start of the Northern Landsharks Parrot Head Club has taken some time… 4 key club people, Joanne Hughes, Cathy Bellinger, Gord Jones & Paul Bellinger, along with Kyle Jones (Gord and Joanne’s son) attended a Buffett concert in Toronto in 2007.  At the concert, the topic of forming a Parrot Head club first started.  This idea was talked about off and on, each time they met to bring back the memories of the concert.  It was unsure just how much interest would be there for the start of a club such as this, but at the 2011 concert, again in Toronto, it was discovered that in the 5 or 6 rows around where they sat; there were over 20 people from the Perth area attending the concert.  Some were for the first time, but the core for a parrot head club seemed there.  Again, fast forward 2 years, and the decision to form the group and on July 18, 2013, we became officially chartered with Parrot Heads in Paradise, Inc.  On January 1, 2017, the Parrot Heads of Perth officially changed its call sign to the ‘Northern Landsharks Parrot Head Club’ and expanded to serve the Ottawa / Gatineau area as well as Eastern Ontario.  The club has been running with some very talented people and it’s open to all interested in music and, more importantly, wishing to donate something back to the community.

… and we would like to hear from you.
